Youth Wrestling Registration to be held Tuesday - 11/10/09
The Mathog Wrestling Club invites all children in grades one through six to participate in the youth wrestling program. Registration will be on Tuesday - November 10, 2009 at the Middle School cafeteria from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. A parent or legal guardian must be present at registration as this will help educate the family on how the program works. If for any reason one or both parents cannot attend registration at this time, please contact Tim Spack for information by calling (814) 952-2867 or send email to webmaster@mathogs.com.
Wrestling can be a very enjoyable and rewarding experience for kids. The program will teach basic wrestling techniques to the beginner as well as focus on building skills for more experienced wrestlers. Also, many games and drills will be implemented to better develop coordination and strength. Wrestling also builds self-esteem and character as well as agility and overall body conditioning. Practice sessions will also include brief lecture periods stressing the values and importance of good sportsmanship.
There is a fee of $20.00 for each wrestler to help defray costs for t-shirts, the Punxsy tournaments, and a pizza banquet for our youth wrestlers at the end of the season. Checks should be made payable to: “The Mathog Wrestling Club”. Thank you for your support!
(NOTE: The registration fee will be discounted for those with more than one wrestler in the same family.)
